MERRY CHRISTMAS ...  from NPLC  re. 1/22/10 activity … BJ is Bernie Barone.  (see below) Rosemary Place is next to Creech Rd. Our usual big lot has changed hands. Even though this is an official NPLC notice (my current thoughts) I'm still looking for corrections, mistakes, suggestions, etc. ... 

From THE NAPLES PRO-LIFE COUNCIL...to our pro-life snowbirds, etc....  PRAY TO END ABORTION
We will officially change our Jan. 22 activity. Naples Pro-Life will not sponsor a big rally from 12:00 to 1:00 pm on Jan. 22nd. 2011. as we usually do. Instead we now ask people to simply come for a while on any abortion Monday, any time from around 9:00 in the morning to about 4:00 in the afternoon. Parking has always been a problem. So now, as when the Bishop comes, people should drive to designated  parking, to  parking and shuttle volunteers at the east end of Creech Rd., near 41, to use the 10th St. grass, certain Agostino spaces or the Rosemary Pl. parking lot. Then take a shuttle or walk to Planned Parenthood.
Near the PP driveway there are trained counselors who try to contact people going in.  Other volunteers help with needed organization. The rest of us quietly try to follow directions, give the counselors room,  and just use the public sidewalk on Creech Road or Goodlette Rd. (please stay off the median). People who have done this on a regular basis will be good prayer and sign guides for newcomers. (Legally, people standing or walking on a public sidewalk aren't blocking anyone.) There are usually some pro-life video cameras and PP advertises permanent surveillance. Certain anniversary days see some police or media as well.
We will try to develop an information system to confirm if certain Mondays are skipped by the abortionist for those that are interested. Sadly, RU 486 abortions which don't require a doctor, are also being done. Sleepy little Naples, that saw a few abortions done by local doctors after Roe v. Wade in 1973, and then saw them disappear for about 13 years, has now become quite an abortion center. When you are at the abortion site ask around. The numbers will shock you. Or, like someone who was recently interviewed, they will make you cry. Also, you probably will get the latest schedule news that way. Small groups of people come on other days and have worked out their own way to cope with the difficult parking.  Perhaps some would prefer to join that way.
